Our Foxdale Bench depicts our love of nature and the passages of time both in nature and people.  We show trees going from early morning to late night on the back of the bench. The lower front takes the viewer from spring and its beautiful flowers to summer, fall and winter.  Rabbits, chipmunks, birds, bees and butterflies of which we have many occupy themselves thru the seasons.  The top back takes us in nature from spring and a young child to an old couple as winter approaches.  One end shows a fox the other an owl.  The fox for our Foxdale the owl for the wisdom found here among our residents.  A child of color is shown and the colors of the LGBT rainbow speaks of our diversity.  The Foxdale logo of a peace dove flying up in the clouds on the seat speaks for itself.

“I was drawn to the idea of communities telling their stories on these creative benches.  To be a part of a large scale project such as this was challenging.  Creating something permanent for our particular community was especially exciting as well as a challenge.  I liked and trusted the people in charge and knew it would be well managed.  We at Foxdale have felt honored to be able to participate.”
